BTW has successfully completed the production of its first two 280MVA/400kV autotransformers for the Greek national grid operator. The units passed all required tests in a single attempt, with all performance indicators fully complying with EU standards and exceeding contractual requirements.

This project represents the first collaboration between the company and the Greek national grid operator. Under the framework agreement, a total of 20 autotransformers will be supplied, with deliveries scheduled to commence this year. These transformers are intended for use in new construction, renovation, and expansion projects within the Greek national grid system.

The autotransformers designed for the Greek grid feature a complex structure, and their installation and transportation are subject to significant on-site constraints, placing stricter demands on product design and manufacturing. During the preliminary phase, the company’s technical team conducted on-site surveys at the Greek operator's 400kV substations and engaged in detailed discussions with the client to fully understand their requirements. Throughout the design stage, extensive analysis and research were carried out, with technical solutions reviewed and optimized in collaboration with industry experts.

During manufacturing, technical personnel provided detailed guidance at various workshops for key components and critical processes. Core team members closely monitored production, ensuring meticulous attention to every detail and addressing any factors that could affect product quality. The innovation studio alliance also played a key role in coordinating efforts and overcoming technical challenges, providing strong support for the high-quality completion of the products.

The successful development and delivery of these transformers for the Greek market are expected to positively contribute to the company's expansion into Greece and the broader European market, while also supporting the advancement of the Belt and Road Initiative.
